Social Purpose Housing Program
There are an insufficient number of drop-in centers for the homeless which may hinder the reintegration of these individuals back into mainstream society. Poverty and homelessness have become major problems in California. This is due to an array of factors, including drugs and/or alcohol addiction, family divorce or separation, domestic violence, eviction, mental health disorders, medical conditions, incarceration, and housing restrictions related to probation or parole. Many of these individuals have not received the appropriate treatment that addresses their needs. We work with local community-based organizations and equal employment opportunity advocates who spearhead change that helps homeless individuals obtain mental health services, essential life necessities, and the support required to safely begin the rehabilitation process and obtain necessary social services.
